Butter Stitch is the project born of Chloe and Valerie’s love for printmaking and fiber arts. During their final year at the University of Illinois, they decided to utilize the resources at the Noble Ink Lab in Champaign. They designed and screen-printed hundreds of t-shirts, crochet headbands, and several other 1/1 pieces. In 2021 they made a name for themselves in the Urbana DIY scene, selling at house shows and university-organized vendor events.

Chloe and Valerie hold strong values of sustainability and individuality. All Butter Stitch t-shirts were printed on thrifted or donated secondhand tees, giving each one a unique look and feel.
